John Keel has been with The Rathbun Agency since 1965 and serves as President of the agency. A graduate of Michigan State University, John works in both Personal and Business Insurance with specialties in writing contractors, apartment complexes and bonding. John resides in Delta Township and has a second home in Sears, Michigan. He served 30 years as the Chairman of Delta Townships Parks Recreation and Cemeteries. He is a past President of the Delta Waverly Jaycees and is active in many civic and fraternal organizations.

Paul Rathbun has been with The Rathbun Agency since 1983 and currently serves as Executive Vice President. After graduating from Ferris State University with a Bachelors degree in Insurance, Paul worked for Aetna in Life and Group Health Sales before joining our agency. Paul works in all areas of business and personal insurance, including an extensive amount of employee benefits. Paul has earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and is an Licensed Insurance Counselor as well. Residing in Haslett with his wife Brenda and sons Ben & Sam, he is active in many civic, sporting and church activities. His goal is to be the best of the lowest level, over-40 hockey players in the Greater Lansing area.

Larry Pingel has been with The Rathbun Agency since 1996 and is a Personal and Business Insurance agent. He resides in St Johns area with his wife, Mary. Larry is also active as the President of the Downtown Lansing Kiwanis and is involved in other civic organizations. In 2002, Larry became a part owner of the agency and serves as Vice President.

Jason Whiting joined The Rathbun Agency in 2001 and works in Business and Personal Insurance. Previously Jason worked in the industry for Auto Owners Insurance Company for four years in a variety of positions. He is a graduate of Olivet College and lives in DeWitt with his two daughters.

Patricia Leyser

Patricia heads up our Division handling group and individual benefits. She has a business degree from Northern Michigan University. Pat handles life, disability insurance and employee and individual benefits. Pat has been a resident of Delta Township for 30 years and a member of St. Gerard Church. She plays soccer, rock climbs and loves the Pistons.
